Globally traumatic brain injury (TBI) are the cause for about 10 millions hospitalizations or death every year. The vast majority of them are younger males. Those that survive often face considerable loss of function, quality of life, and life expectancy. Complications are multifactorial and effective treatments addressing all of them are wanting. Early studies indicate that engaging the endocannabinoid system may provide a novel approach to amelioration associated pathologies.
