Myocardial fibrosis is a condition in which heart valve tissues become too thick, due to an excessive build up of cardiac fibroblast cells, to open and close efficiently. If the condition progresses it will cause inefficient blood flow and eventually lead to heart failure. Statistical observation indicate that excessive serotonin presence may be implicated.
